Architecture question

Answered
Jesica asked on March 22, 2024

Hi team! we have an architecture similar to the attachement.
We have one app server and multiple OLAP servers that we need to connect to, using accelerator.
What do you suggest? do we need one accelerator per OLAP Server?
Our OLAP servers are not exposed to the internet and that is why we installed the accelerator in the app server, but if we need one accelerator per OLAP we could consider adding balance loaders and install the accelerators there.
Any suggestions, comments? Thanks

Hello, Jesica!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

You are right, one Flexmonster Accelerator can connect only to one OLAP cube. It is recommended to install the Accelerator on the same machine where the corresponding MsSQL Server is located.

We also suggest checking out the Flexmonster Accelerator as a DLL solution, as this approach provides more flexibility in configuring the Accelerator.

Hope you will find our answer helpful.

Kind regards,
Solomiia

Hi Solomiia! We are using an angular frontend and a .net backend. So we think our best approach is to use the accelerator. We are going to contact the sales team this week regarding licensing.
Thanks!
