Hello there,
I've been trying to upgrade from version 2.3 to 2.4 and noticed an odd behaviour related to grid row heights. Specifically, it seems like the height of each row is constantly being increased over time (see the attached GIF) once the grid is loaded on screen.
I've also gone through the migration guide but didn't find anything that might be of interest to this issue.
Upon further investigation, I noticed that window.requestAnimationFrame() is being triggered constantly (hence the height resizing) by the Flexmonster library.
Any ideas on what might be causing this?
Hello Michael,
Thank you for reporting this issue. The fix for the issue will be delivered as part of minor release 2.203, ETA Sep 11. Please let me know in case you have other questions.
Regards,
Tanya
Hi Tanya,
Thanks for that, but is there any possibility of getting a nightly/beta release of a version with the fix in it? We have a tight deadline for a deliverable, and it relies on new api's available in 2.4. If we can at least build against a working version of 2.4, and then swap it out with the final release before we deploy, it should allow us to meet our deadline.
Thanks.
Tyson.
Or any workarounds that we can do in the meantime to at least allow us to develop and use the new version of the grid?
Hello Tyson,
We have sent the package with the fix via email. Please check and share your feedback with us.
Regards,
Tanya
Hello Tanya,
Just to follow-up on this issue, it seems like the distribution you've supplied us with no longer has the problem originally reported, thanks for that.
Hello Tanya!
I am still having this bug with the 2.4 version, the latest one, our customers are using Chrome Web Browser and Internet Explorer 11. How can I fix that?
My problem is pretty much the same as Michael described, the function requestAnimationFrame() is being called many times over and after the whole routine it is possible to see the width increase.
Hi!
Is there any possibility to share us a link to your application to make some tests?
Thanks,
Tanya
HI Tanya,
Thanks for the reply, I cant share the application with u because it is within an intranet. Is there any information I could collect for you with the developer tools?
Im trying to upload some video or pics, but it isnt working here

Hello, Vinicius,
We have tested with both Chrome Web Browser and Internet Explorer 11. Everything seems to be working just fine with our latest version 2.405. You can check that you have the latest version(click on the grid and press Ctrl+Alt+i
). Could you please prepare the demo for us? Something like JSFiddle, where this issue is reproducible. Waiting for your reply.
Regards,
Tanya
Hi Tanya, sorry for the delay to reply, I confirmed we are using the latest version (2.405) and the reason for the delay is that I was trying to set up a scenario where the issue would happen. On fiddlejs the issue didnt come up, but it isnt the full scenario, we have lots of dependencies that I can't load on fiddlejs.
We are using SapUI5 version 1.38.19 and using chrome's developer tools I could make a profile with the functions being called and it showed that the requestAnimationFrame() was being called recursevely
here is the link where I tried to set up the scenario, but it is working normally: https://jsfiddle.net/y9c8bmmu/1/
The intranet where our app is being deployed is inside a Sap MII server page and it is called inside an iframe. Also the way we initialize the SapUI5 framework is different from the way I had to initialize on fiddlejs
Hello Vinicius,
Thank you for the additional information from the e-mail. Yes, you are right, it is difficult to move further without a sample where the issue is reproducible. The access to your machine will help us a lot in our investigation.
Waiting for further details from you.
Regards,
Dmytro.
Hello Dmytri,
How can we do it? Do you any remote desktop app of your preference? I could give you access to my machine and show you the whole environment.
Thanks in advance,
Vinicius Cruz Ribeiro
Hello, Vinicius,
Thanks for the quick reply. We are fine any remote desktop app. If you don't have preferences, you may use TeamViewer.
Please let us know about your choice.
Regards,
Tanya
Tanya,
I'm sorry for the delay to reply, Team Viewer is great and I've just installed it. How can I send the info for the acccess?
Hello, Vinicius,
Thanks for the update.
My colleague will contact you via email soon.
Regards,
Tanya
Hi everyone,
I'd like to inform that the issue is not reproducible in the latest version of the component. You are welcome to update your component to the latest version if you are still experiencing this issue.
Kind regards,
Iryna
