I cant view the data in compact or class view when I switch from flat view, though I can see the data available in the filters of compact or classic view

Thank you for posting your question here.
It seems that you need to check on what fields were putted to the slice.
Please have a look at the following video example of using the Fields List controller: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUtODcaW80M.
With the help of the Fields List controller you can arrange what data to show.
Please make sure that the values area is not empty.
