[Bug Report] Filtering cannot be disabled on date hierarchies

  • Version: Pivot Table for JSON data sources v2.8.10
  • Browser: Chrome Version 83.0.4103.116 on Windows 10

  • Steps to reproduce:
    • Open attached JSFiddle
    • See in the JSON configuration in Flexmonster object report.mapping that:
      • Hierarchy "Country" has type: "string" and filters: false
      • Hierarchy "Date" has type: "year/month/day" and filters: false
  • Observed behavior:
    • UI filtering is still enabled for hierarchy "Date" despite having filters: false
  • Expected behavior:
    • UI filtering (in grid, filter panel and fields configurator) should be disabled when hierarchy has filters: false, regardless of the field's data type, as documented in https://www.flexmonster.com/doc/mapping/
  • More details:
    • filters: false also doesn't seem to be taken into account when data type is "year/quarter/month/day", or "date" (for each individual sub-field of date). May also be the case for other types (untested). It does apply for type "date string".

We are happy to let you know that the issue with "filters" mapping property not applied to date, year/month/day, year/quarter/month/day data types was fixed.
This is provided in the 2.8.13 version of Flexmonster.
 
You are welcome to update the component.
