Customize toolbar not work

Hello!
I am trying to customize the taskbar but it is not working. I used the example that is on the documentation page, but the component just creates the button, does not create the icon and also does not perform the function that is informed.

We improved the documentation and the example - http://jsfiddle.net/flexmonster/m7e74ay4/. Now the example creates the button, performs the function and illustrates how CSS can be used to create the icon.
