We are using API datasource version 2.8.5, Flexmonster client version 2.8.8.
The easiest way to reproduce is this is by using https://github.com/flexmonster/pivot-mongo
1. Start pivot mongo connector server from example
2. Open client page
There are 2 ways to trigger this bug:
First way:
3. Select category as the only field in field dialog.
4. Switch to flat mode
Second way:
3. Select category and country in field dialog.
4. Switch to flat mode.
5. Open field dialog and remove country field from selected fields.

Hello, Aleksandar,
We are glad to announce that the issue with the pivot table breaking when switching to the flat form with only one measure and using custom API was fixed.
This is available in the 2.8.11 version of Flexmonster: https://www.flexmonster.com/release-notes/.
