I have a requirement of displaying a column in the report whose type = "id" so that the value is available across the row.

Hello Sushma,
Thank you for writing. The idea of the column with type: "id" implies that it should not be available for choosing in the slice. In case you need to display it on the grid please remove type: "id" from the column. Also, could you please specify your use case with more details? It would be much easier for us to provide a suitable solution for you.
