Hi,
MongoDB 5 comes with native time series support. This looks very interesting and I'm wondering if it's something that Flexmonster will make use of in the MongoDB connector.
Hello, Jason,
Thank you for contacting us.
According to the MongoDB Manual, storing time-series data in time series collections improves query efficiency and reduces the disk usage for time series data and secondary indexes. In its turn, the Flexmonster MongoDB Connector is expected to operate with such fields normally. It means you can try configuring time-series collections on the MongoDB side and establish the connection as usual to test performance improvements.
Please let us know if it works for you.
Kind regards,
Illia
