Update Data Server - bug with filters

I've been using the data server API and I think I found a bug, but before claiming that I would like to update Flexmonster.

  1. I've updated the .js / .css of Flexmonster to v. 2.8.20 but do I have to also update the binary (flexmonster-data-server) ?
  2. The bug I've found is when I filter on some big filter (filtering a lot of datas), the server answer either "Empty reply from server" or "The server didn't respond in time.". Is it a device issue or a library issue ?

We have not managed to reproduce the issue on our end using our sample datasets.
 
We would like to mention that recently our team optimized the performance for members filters for Flexmonster Data Server. 
Also, yesterday, our team released a new minor version of Flexmonster (2.8.21), where further improvements were introduced.
With this in mind, it is possible that the update would solve your case as well. 
 
Our team kindly recommends updating Flexmonster and Flexmonster Data Server to the latest version.
Here is our updating to the latest tutorial for guidance.
